Use the mission as a teamwork exercise

A crew can divide planning, briefing, observation, and piloting responsibilities. Require a clear handover so students practice communicating a plan and identifying what the next person needs to know. Rotate responsibilities to give every student experience explaining a decision.

Align with your existing instruction

STEMPilot lists JROTC among the environments using its simulators and curriculum. Review the specific materials with program instructors to decide where they support your existing learning goals. Do not assume simulator participation satisfies a service-specific requirement.

Make the debrief constructive

Ask the crew to distinguish what was planned, what occurred, and what evidence supports a change. Keep the discussion focused on decisions and communication rather than individual blame.

Prepare your implementation
