Give every flight a learning target.

Before the lesson, choose the question and decide what evidence students should produce. Introduce the relevant concept, demonstrate the controls needed for the task, and give Flight Crews time to explain their plan.

During the flight, observations matter as much as control inputs. Ask a crew member to record changes or compare the route with the plan. Afterward, use those notes to support a debrief and a revision.

Adapt the depth of the calculation and the complexity of the mission to your learners. A short mission with a thoughtful discussion can provide a stronger lesson than a long, unstructured flight.
