STEMPilot’s after-school program describes accelerated lessons for one- to two-hour sessions, with applications for grades 4–12. The published approach combines instruction and flight simulation so students can connect a concept to an experience within the same session.
Build a routine around Flight Crews
Start with a brief lesson and a planning task, then move to a guided flight and a closing discussion. Assign roles that include observation and review, and rotate responsibilities. Keep a record of each crew’s work so the next session builds on what students discovered.
Match the package to your group
Current offerings include EduStation and Pilot Pro options. Some lab listings describe 14 structured two-hour sessions; confirm the schedule and curriculum of the exact package you choose. Ask about student worksheets, flight challenges, instructor resources, and required staff preparation.
Prepare the people as well as the equipment
