Aviation STEM for school clubs

Give student curiosity a structure through shared projects, flight planning, and career exploration.

Let a question shape the meeting

A club can investigate a new question each meeting: how route length changes flight time, how landmarks support navigation, or how a crew communicates a change. Choose a manageable challenge and leave time to compare the teams’ reasoning.

Share ownership of the learning

Student roles can include mission planner, flight observer, discussion leader, and resource researcher. A teacher or club adviser sets the equipment procedures and supervision. Rotate roles so existing aviation enthusiasts support beginners without taking over.

Build a club portfolio

Keep maps, calculations, and short reflections from each activity. At the end of a term, students can explain how their planning improved and which aviation-related careers or subjects they want to investigate next.

Prepare your implementation

Tell STEMPilot about your student ages, group size, available room, and session length. Request a proposal covering the appropriate simulator, curriculum, professional development, and support. Decide how students will participate away from the controls as part of the same lesson.
