Check fit before writing
Read the current opportunity notice to identify eligible applicants, permitted activities, geography, deadlines, and required partners. A school’s interest in STEM does not establish eligibility. Ask the funder or your district grants team to resolve uncertainties before preparing an application.
Prepare a complete project budget
Separate equipment, curriculum, delivery, teacher preparation, and any ongoing costs. Identify what each item contributes to the learning plan. Request a current quote and check whether the opportunity permits each cost category.
Describe a program, not a shopping list
Explain the learning need, the students served, the teaching sequence, and the evidence you will collect. Show who will operate the program after the funding period. Use school-specific evidence rather than unsupported claims about attendance or test scores.
