The Student Support and Academic Enrichment program identifies well-rounded education, safe and healthy students, and effective use of technology among its purposes. The program’s existence does not mean a specific simulator purchase is automatically allowable.
Review the local plan
Ask your district’s federal programs lead how a proposed aviation STEM activity relates to the current plan and identified needs. Review the applicable requirements, cost categories, and approval process before committing to equipment or services.
Keep the funding decision with the responsible team
Prepare a clear description of instruction, student participation, teacher preparation, and anticipated costs. Use current official guidance and seek a determination from the appropriate program staff. Eligibility, availability, and allowable expenses can change.
