Perkins V Basic State Grants support career and technical education through state-administered programs. A general aviation STEM proposal should not be assumed eligible simply because it includes career exploration. Review the relevant state and local program requirements.
Connect to an approved educational purpose
Discuss how the proposed activity relates to your existing course or pathway, student needs, and the applicable planning process. Ask the responsible CTE staff which costs and documentation must be reviewed before procurement.
Document the implementation
Prepare an itemized equipment and curriculum scope, staff training plan, schedule, and evaluation approach. Confirm allowable use, purchasing requirements, and current rules with the administering agency. This resource does not establish a funding determination.
